Hi!

I still can't get my 650 started. After fixing problems after problems i now think the coil is bad and not working as it should. When using the kickstarter i can get a spark but has to turn it over really fast. Using the electric starter i do not get any sign of a spark.

Here is a video when using the e-starter:

Is the electric starter turning the engine over fast enough to get a spark?

I am now considering that the coil can be bad and not working as good as it should. Get a little spark when using the kickstarter, but not that very bright blue spark.

A list of new parts and things done:
Rewinded stator,
Head off, cleaned and grinded valves, new seals,
New coil cable and cap,
New starter sprauge bearing with stronger spring,
New 08 camshaft with new adc comp device,
New timing chain and upper sprocket,
Set the valve clearance with the"1/6" turn
New pj and main jet, whole carburator cleaned in a ultrosonic washer.
New ix spark plug

Add a ground/earth easy and cheap. Sometimes ground/earth on older things can be dodgy. May not the problem but one less thing to worry about......

it's very slow turning. check that the white wire to the coil is live when you hit the button. the battery may be gutless. valve clearances too tight.

regards

Taffy
