broken bracket

Went riding again today, had a bit of a crappy ride in the wattagans north of Sydney. The terrain was great, but it took us 5 hours 30km, mainly because of unskilled and ill prepared riders.

Any how my question to you all is, has anyone broken the bracket off that holds the voltage regulator. When i got back to the trailer i found in just hanging don near the carb. What is the best way to fix

i had the same issue on my 06 450. so i flipped it around and used a bolt with a larger shoulder to spread out the pressure, prayin it wouldn't happen again......well it didn't... the dam bolt broke off in the bung WTF i used locktight and made SURE not to over-tighten the bolt....

whats causing this? and how the hell do i fix it without pullin the motor to drill out the bung?

I have mine stuck to the frame up front by the forks like a KTM. I moved it there when I put in the under seat tank. It's just held on with industrial 2 sided tape. The harness should be long enough to make it.
