well the last round of the sidecarX world championships were held in germany today and HUSABERG WON A GP AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
GP winners on a husaberg - brown and peters
this time it was stuart brown and luke peters of GB. they had a 3rd in the first heat and won the second followed by world champion janis hendrix of belguim on the LC4 katoom engined outfit.
stuart was at ken hall just a fortnight ago and his MJ appeared to be miles too big, they were following dutchmen thijs derks example but derks was not racing due to an injury for half the season and so it didn't seem the best example to follow did it!
the millards from the UK had an 11th and a 9th while my rider, mark kinge had an up and down weekend.
in staurdays practice they rumbled a right hand main, they then missed out the qualifying race while they borrowed a spare millard engine. this was a great jesture because the millards had just the one spare motor and not the normal two.
having missed the race they then had what is called 'last chance' this is when you go ape for a lap and then rest for one as you try to get a fast lap time in. mark qualified 4th from the 6 that got through. so he would have qualified 28th from 30 on row 2 and on the wrong side of the grid....not good. during saturday evening he rebuilt the motor with a new main in the right case and today, with his new stand in passenger david keane he got a 17th and then a 14th for his best ever result.
frenchman benjamin daniel got an 18th and 15th following mark home in both races. the swede soderqvist had a startline crash in race 1 and i think he called it 'quits' for the day.
i can tell you more later when i KNOW things but thanks to browny and STEPHAN from here at UHE i managed to persuade mark to go for the MEFO rear tyre, also a stronger rear spring. guess they worked!
the last round of the british championships are next sunday at winterpick farm near horsham in surrey. let me know if any of you are going?
regards
Taffy
