Got one of E-bay to fit my 03 650 SM but the magnet on the disc that activates the speedo dont pass near enough to the sensor to activate it.

Is it the gap from end of pickup to magnet thats the problem ?? If its bacause the magnet isn'r radially alligned, I have no idea what to do.
I minimised the gap my self by counter-sinking the pickup a bit in the caliper mount. Used a 10 mm drillbit, and left 4-5 treads for the pickup, just enough to get a spanner on the hex.
The distance is now around 2 mm on my bike, and it still only works up to around 80 km/h. Next i will try new magnet as instrument & pickup where just renewed.
If need be, You/I might get away with gluing in the new magnet so it protrudes from the disc a little to minimize gap even more
Does anyone know the max gap for this to work ??

Is your disc centralized in the caliper ?? Sure you've checked that, just a thought !
It wasn't on mine !! Previous owner had put the caliper on with flat washers as spacers, probably to try get the speedo working. The caliper was therefore "over to one side" and pistons did not have same stroke, caliper and fork not mating proporly and only touching on the spacers... I did not like that !!!
FYI I am on about the 6 pot Husaberg caliper.

i had the exact same issue with my wavy front disc and the hole for the magnet not aligning properly with the speedo. as a result, the mechanic that lives next to me welded the magnet to a part of the wavy disc so that it would align properly where the speedo screws into the brake caliper. normally i would provide pictures but, my husaberg is in the dominican republic right now and i'm in norway for the summer.
anyway, the solution: weld or glue the magnet to a different part of the wavy brake disc.

The problem is radial alignment, the supplied mounting on the disc for the magnet dose not align with the sensor.

ok, now i remember how the mechanice fixed the same issue you're having: he siliconed the magnet so it would align properly with the sensor. now i remeember it was Silicone that he used. it took me awhile to remember. getting old.
Nothing beats OEM parts
IMHO: I'd stick with OEM parts. No matter how hard 3rd parties plug their products as being "superior" to OEM. I see this every day in my work (heavy trucks) where customers try to save a $ and use 3rd party stuff on their vehicles. Well, in my opinion, it isn't a [insert brand here] anymore. And then they have grief and come to us and complain...oh dear oh dear..
Only exception: a proper exhaust.

That's funny, because Husaberg makes an excellent flowing stock exhaust that really doesn't need to be changed. You will save a pound or two I guess, and think you're going faster because it's louder. It's one of the things I would leave.
I am sure the aftermarket for heavy truck parts is a bit different than motorcycles. There are many good aftermarket replacement parts (brake rotors are one) available for these motorcycles. Many of these companies are OEM suppliers for many different manufacturers. There is junk out there as well, but LOTS of high quality aftermarket parts available.

Bought a new magnet from the Husaberg dealer. Perfect fit, probably made for the Beringer Disc, and just glued it in with sealant. New magnet is stronger than the old one and PROBLEM IS SOLVED.
I reckon the magnet looses its power over time ???
