Hy guy´s,

the winter is gone the last bike is crashed and now i´m building a new sm out of an FC600 BJ97 Husaberg, please help me because i need some really important parts:

1: Brakecaliper adapter for 320mm brke disc
2: springs or setup help
3: a pair of rims with the right wheelhubs or onlz the wheelhubs

Thanks so far,

Dominic

I motarded an FE400 99 the other year and used a front wheel from a Husky with 4-bolt brakedisc (17mm front axle) which also fitted my later 01 550 with 20mm front axle after removing the spacers. The rear is standard Husa/KTM wheel and as brake caliper bracket I used a 4-5mm aluminium piece which fitted nice after grinding a few millimeters off the stock mountings. I have pics if you're interested.

Regards,

Dave

then husky tires fit the husabergs?
I just bouhgt a old 17 x 2.75 36 holes rim from an old husqvarna and still loking for a front one, Can I use rear rims for the front?
I'm making a sm from a 95 501e I just put it to work the last owner was a beast this bike was a mess.

Well, can't speak for the old usd fork of the 95, but the WP 5060 Extreme fork would accomodate a Husky front wheel. But then most things are possible if you know someone at mechanical shop... :D

2.75 as a rear wheel? Doesn't sound like a good plan. That's like a 50cc tire you'll have to use then? :?:

/Dave

my berg have 18 x 2.15 right now I can mount 140/70 17 or even 150 with a 2.75.
may be it is good idea to mount taht 2.75 17 rear rim on the front and buy a 3.50 17 for the rear is taht possible to use rear rims on the front?
thanks

Marto that tire guide you have been posting is not correct....sorry but there is no way anyone is gonna put a 170 tire on a 4 " rim....I'd be surprised its even gonna bead up......let alone have enough tire patch... I'll dig around abit and find one I have referred to.....

thanks brian, I just was trying to find waht to wear in my bike and found this list there have to be somwhere a reference tire rim around the manufactures doesn't seen to give taht information.
I will change taht post and erase taht list from the forum so nobody get confused.
any advise on where to find taht kind of information?
thanks

ever thought of getting your hubs relaced, and buying rims and spokes only ??

This site will keep you busy until I find that dam chart :D

the tire guide you posted has basic general info...I'm just being overly anal.... just wanna make sure you don't waste your money....

What clearance do you have between the disc face & the fork leg?

I only today drew up my fabricated adapter to suit a Yamaha FZX250 wheel with 320mm diameter disc. This disc has an offset that puts its face 4mm off the fork leg. If your's has more clearance you could easily modify the design of my adapter to account for it. I'll have fabrication drawings ready to post in a couple of days if they are any use to you.

You can definitely fit a 165/55 tyre on a 4.5" rim. The profile looks OK and the side of the tyre only just kisses the chain. The 170 would probably shoehorn on.

Before going ahead with relacing, I posted thisabout a year ago about how the front wheel spoke pattern has changed over the models.

ok , here I'm going.
I just bought front and rear from 86 zx 1000 very cheap($100) with rotors cushion drive and tires.
will try to install next week and will make my own adapters/spacers for them.
any advise on how to pusue this will be apreciate any plans of other adapters will be helpfull even when they are to other brand /model of tires.
really was looking for cbr tires but the budget is very limited lately and this one was CHEAP.
anyway if they enter in the hole and the disks are not too ofset they would work, it will serve as experience for other people that want to do on the cheap too. I will document with pictures and scaned plans to serve the example and "will" keep posting untill I finish the project so other people can use the information( I'm tired of reading posts that sudenly before geting acomplised just stop because they found the solution and the rest of the people....fos.)
thanks every body, this forum apart of been unique is full of good felows.
I think husabergs have potencial lets see how my 95 performs.
for now afther have redone the electrical system install biger batt and change oil and tune it starts at the first startor hit, hope it last, I really love the buton!
will post here the brake caliper adapter I will make. but I already have a tread (cheap way to supermoto $$$) and will post there all my project.
Thanks
