What can I use

Manual says DOT 5.1

I was told Dot 4 is OK

What should I use Don't want to wreak anything

I would use the 5.1. I know you can use 5.1 instead of 4.0 (which I do). I dont think I would take a step back.
 
Agree with berger, stick with DOT 5.1

I was told it's important not to deviate.
