have used the "tied it back" method previously.

it was never going to be a big problem if they had been working fine before you swapped out your wheels.

just check the fluid levels if you haven't done it already

I always reverse bleed for this reason. The air bubles work with you when you reverse bleed.

The %&#)%^*(+ brembo caliper seems to have a pocket inside it that can only be fixed by removal of the whole cpaliper assembly. It's a rare event but iof your brakes are spongy after a fresh bleed it'll be a bubble stuck in the caliper so take it off the bike when you bleed it and turn it over during the bleeding process.

BTW It took me two days (and many new swear words) to work out what was happening when I had this problem.
