Well, when I bought my FE650 today, I also got a "White Brothers" aluminum skidplate. I thought it was made by Berg (I think Berg owns them?), but it doesn't fit worth a damn and will take quite a bit of fabricating to make it right....which you really shouldn't ever have to do on a new part. The part number was listed as 31-930X. Does anybody know whose skidplate is the actually best or is this the only POS available out there??? 8O 8O 8O

One of my mates have the genuine Husaberg accessory part - I bought Hyde because it covers quite a bit of the frame too and works, also easy to clean. Try hydedevelopments.co.za in South Africa - maybe they can ship to you.

Thanks guys for all the skid plate leads! I ended up with Splat's suggestion at Utah Sports Cycle. It fit right on with no missing coverage on the bottom frame sections and has a drain hole and a drain channel for both oil plugs. It even has an "H" cut into the front! :D :D :D

The official Husaberg plate leaves a lot of frame unprotected towards the rear of the engine cases and did not bolt up well at all (requires some fabbing). I did like the Husaberg's aluminum clamp mounts better than the steel clamps, but if you gotta fab it to fit, then it's not worth the effort in my opinion.
