I will start my part of the report early... Very light and nimble in corners, Great power with smooth delivery, Well that's the way I've been dreaming it would be all week. More to come.
First ride.. First impressions. This is like no other motorcycle.
The fuel injection is absolutely spot on. The fuel delivery is clean from start-up all the way through the top end. No popping on deceleration, No bogging anywhere. On multiple corners I came in at least a gear and sometimes two high. This was not an issue due to the fuel delivery. No bogging, No hesitation, Just constant power delivery to the ground.
The handling is incredible! I am not a mechanical engineer, but I certainly appreciate what those at Husaberg have done with this bike. Corner to corner the bike seemed so light and so flick-able that I could not believe that it truly was a 450. The stability was also great. Even though the bike seemed so light in the corners, The power delivery of the 450 gave plenty of drive to keep the bike moving strait as an arrow in the straits. The cornering took me about fifteen miles to get used to coming off of an 07' FE 450, The 09' turns so much quicker and with less input from the rider that it took me off guard on several occasions.
Mechanically the bike was flawless.. Not even a sweating seal! I have read the reports, I have seen the articles, but there is nothing that I have read that could have prepared me for the experience of riding the new Husaberg for myself. If you don't have one... Buy one, If you can't buy one... Steal one....At least for a short loop.
