My FS 650 e 2007 , got a problem

The retaining bolt[automatic decompression] on the camshaft gear ,
broke and got between the rocker arm roller [inlet] and the cylinderhead top .

result : a hole in the cylinderhead top , broke the roller of the inlet
rocker arm .
The inlet valves hit the piston and are bend :cuss:

Anybody had this problem ??

yep! plenty of them about and a lesson for anyone reading this to get the decomp stopping 'thing' OUT of your engine!

if it is the nut n bolt = get them out
if it is the rivet = still get it out

let the decomp hit the cam sprocket bolt.

just get the top welded up. i always suggest welding a little at a time and with the rocker cover attached to the head.

don't let an ***** weld it - they'll phuq it up completely.

regards

Taffy
