BLOWN UP FE650E YA about 10 minuets ago on my way home my brand new bike possible threw a ROD or piston. It almost killed me I was Passing a slower car It was going 30 in a 40 so I dropped a gear to catch up to my buddy on his FE450E and halfway past the car the motor locked and threw me sideways into oncoming I got the clutch just in time and didn't go down but scared the life out of me.Sorry this may be long but I am shaking mad and don't know what to do My bike has 52 hr. on the motor and has been meticulously maint. It made a weird knocking noise but the dealer said it was normal But the 450 and 550 I bought at same time dident make the noise.I had it checked twice and All I got was a 300dollar bill and A your to paranoid It's ok .so please some one from HUSABERG/KTM call me @ 253-232-7497 my name Is Aaron and I live in Seattle The place I bought them at is Cycle Works in Renton Wa and they no longer carry Husaberg. So do I need a Lawyer or Is Husaberg going to work with me This has never happened to me before who do I contact HELP THANK's

Your distributor is Dixie Sales.

Your best bet is to make a connection with them and get the ball rolling for any warranty claims.

Keep in mind that this site is not affiliated with Hsbg in any way, so I would make this site the sole attempt at contacting an official entity.

Good luck,

how long have you owned the bike? less than 1 year? if so, is there a warranty specified as being paid for in your sales contract? IF you or your dealer paid for the warranty, you need to contact Dixie Sales and determine what your next step is as your dealer is no longer a husaberg enthusiast.

YA they said a one year But I have been in the after market industry for 10 years and have herd every excuse of why it can't be covered.By every other manufacturer and that was my main question I guess is that Is HUSABERG the kind of company that stand's behind there product 110% or am I gonna get some I had my valves adjusted to often and on Tuesday instead of Wednesday crap witch I have seen.I usually am an optimist until it happen's to me I guess. So now I am assuming the worst case until someone says NO PROBLEM IT'S COVERED"Just having a bad day I guess." OH YA I have had her for 5mo 3day's 6hr and 12min

As far as I know, or have heard, there have been no issues with getting Husaberg to back up their product. There are some outstanding people running the show here in the north Americas' and some awesome dealers. I think that if you present your bills from your "rod knock" verification check-ups and prove that you were trying to solve the issue before it became a problem you would have no problem.

you main issue will be finding a dealer willing to do the warranty work-as yours is most likely not going to mess with it. In this instance I recommend getting a hold of BOSS and asking him what you should do.

of course, I never had to use my warranty coverage, all my damage was self inflicted

You might try call-en the BOSS in Portland and see what he might have to say. If nothing else he would be a great place to take your bike to for the warranty work.

sounds like the primary drive gear has fragged or similar. maybe you could take a peak in the left cover sometime?

regards

Taffy

You're already supposing that Husaberg will not cover the warranty. Call and find out before going off the deep end.

First I think you should be happy that you got three bikes and only one is broke.
Second take a deep breath and see if the glass is half full ...... dont let your frustrations make you say things in public that hurt your cause ( I know what I am talking about on this subject  )

My experience with Husa warranty has been great. Had some problems with a Dealer rebuile back in 02. He blew it and fixed it. Again in 06 a Problem with my 05 and fixed with zero $$ out of my pocket.

So all in all I have nothing but good to say about how they stand behind the product. Hope you will feel the same when all is said and done. Keep us posted
