Giving it the beans in 4th gear and theres a loud crack, engine dies and rear wheel locks. After the longest skid ever i jump off to investigate. Checked over a couple of things but when i undid the oil filler cap, oil pissed out as if it had way too much in it. I check oil before every ride and fill to where the manual says. Got home and started to remove the engine, which is when i noticed a 3inch crack in the right side engine case 
the crack starts inside tbe electric starter gear cover (mine doesnt have the electric starter in it, the starter gear has been removed) and it looks like maybe a bearing have worn through the case and is inside the starter gear housing! Il try and get some pics on soon, but it looked pretty alarming. Anyone know of a good engine rebuild thread for a 1996 berg cos i cant find any. And if anyoune has a spare 1996 fe501 engine kicking around that they want to sell? Thanks
