Black Fuel tank reference ?

Hi,
I have a fetish about black plastics in a motorcycle and a special deslike for yellow color, so, if i buy a HSB, all yellow and blue plastics must go.

I saw in a Australian site (IIRC)
OEM black plastics and their references but there was one not
shown that was the fuel tank...but i know that there is a black fuel tank because i saw in another store/importer site a pic
of a supermotard version with
black plastics including the fuel
tank....

Do you know what is its part number ?

TIA

Hey I actually got a very speedy reply from dave clark racing in the U.K. regarding black plastics- he has the entire set including tanks. no need to own a force edition and willing to ship to the U.S. so goes to say he would ship elsewhere. I did not buy any so i cant speak for his service but he did say he had it all...

The black tank has article number 800.07.013.000/30 :!:

You can find all the FORCE EDITION extras and their article numbers HERE.
The link opens a PDF file which is "zipped". Good Luck !! :D

In Sweden it costs ~2200sek which translates to just over 300$ or 160£ today...

BMG

All of the black plastics are available in the US through BMG.
Contact your local dealer, or in their absence, Dan @ MotoXotica :)

Cheers,

Brett

I was under the impression that you had to be a "Force Edition" owner in order to get black platics in the u.s. This was the reason for my inquiry of daveclark. but if Dan at motoxotica has them and can sell them to us non-force edition riders, then he is who i will buy through...

Possession is 9/10ths of the law.

LOL, please do not mis-quote me to Dan :)
I did not say that he has them, I said that they are available.
Which means that he can order them, if he does not have them in stock.

When you do receive the parts, please shoot us a pic.

Cheers,

No worries, I knew what you meant.

I have not decided for sure if this is what i want, I would prefer to keep my yellow tank basically due to the opacity so i can see the fuel level,

so I am wondering how the bike will look with a blue frame, yellow tank and black plastics-- my first thought is, not as good as it looks right now.

so we will see.

Risky..if you check the DCR website, Dave's own bikes are exactly that colour scheme and to be fair actually look better in the ''flesh''..check on the bikes for sale tab/used bikes/supermoto.
Quite a lot of guys are using that scheme around here at the moment but its all a matter of taste, personally I think the 'force' bikes look poo with the blue frame, it should be gunmetal to match the forks.
I've just been to DCR's and Dave's own bike currently sports full carbon fibre bodywork(not tank) and some extremely trick carbon 8 spoke wheels........going back tomorrow with some spanners and a mate to distract him

Thanks for all help including link
to Clark web site !

As for side panels over a yellow tank, i actually feel that it will look OK...but for me, its all plastics in black including fuel tank.

BTW, i just remembered where i saw a black HSB...MotoXotica !!!
http://www.motoxotica.com/2005%20Force%20SM.gif

Its a SM model but is good enough to give and idea of the looks of a FE in black...i also like
the conbination of a blue frame with radiator front panels in yellow....hey, it still has the Sweden colors ;)

See pics in my gallery for some 'Bergs with black plastics.
My Gallery

I've also added some pics of a carbon bike that Husaberg Scandinavia put together for the recently held fair in Gothenburg.

I'm currently thinking of making my current bike black/blue. I have saved all the black plastic from the 03. All I have to get is the black tank.

How about black tank, front and rear fender, headlight (or numberplate when racing), fork guards and handprotectors. Blue seat and radiator shrouds with some blue decals on the black plastic....

Unfortunately the regulations here say I must have black numbers on yellow background which fits the 'berg to well to start any major changes in color scheme. I'll have to think about it some more....

Very nice gallery...i specially like
the 'Berg Girls' :)

As for blue stickers over black
plastics, it will look cool but dont
use too much stickers area...IMHO, YMMV.
