Bike Shutting Down at Speed

This is the 3rd time it has done this.

1st time was because I think the main fuel line at the T junction came off and fuel was going everywhere and I didnt know it.

The Small fuel line (Left side petcock) I replaced with clear plastic and it doesnt look so good looks almost pincht because it is flimsy, but I think the right side of the pet cock feeds more then the left side even though it goes over the carb first.

So I fixed the leak and I pull on to a long straight I see some dirt and see revs pretty freely in this dirt, I calm her down get back on the road to the tune of around 138k/m's and Im slowing down to 80 and cruising maybe 90 for about 1.5k/ms and she shuts down on me.

Pull over, look at everything nothing wrong, starts up right away.

Why is this happening? The tank is like 80% full of 93 octane fuel. Im in Ontario, Canada.

The bike has 28 hours and 1440 K/ms on it.

When I got it, she had around 24 hours and like 1263k/ms I havent been riding that hard.

Also for the Vent Hose on the gas tank I have a Bolt Plugging it. But I pulled it out before I road to get air into the tank, and was ride for maybe 5 mins after I did this.

is your gas cap vent (check valve?) plugged or not working properly? if the tank cant vent it will create a vacuum and starve the engine for fuel. oops, didnt see that you had a bolt in it.

did it quit after you unplugged the line? or run fine?

Yeah the bike didnt come with a proper vent so I think it maybe because I had the bolt in the hose. Arent the billet part you can buy not block off the air as well? Or are they vented?

I used to have a GS that acted like it was running out of gas on the freeway when pushed above 80 MPH. TUrns out the PO didn't believe in maintenance. The petcocks were all clogged with gunk, the stand pipes and the screens protecting them had disintegrated. I cleaned them up and replaced the pipes and the screens, put an inline filter in the fuel line to the carbs and cleaned up the tank again several months later. THat fixed the problem.

if it was me, i would drill a hole in the top of the gas tank.
if it runs better, its cause its venting properly.
then i would fix the gas tank and finally take the bolt out of the vent hose.

the little tube with the thing on top is a 1 way check valve. it allows the tank to vent but wont let fuel spill out in a crash.

the tube should never be blocked or bolted as you had it. that created a vacuum as i said.
