Bike is addicted to Hot Start...

Evening all,
FE 4500 08 (old type) has been running grand but recently when trying to restart it, it has become addicted to the hot start.

It's not needed from cold, couple of twists of the gas, choke on and away she goes (foot or electric).

But.. when warm (running in temps from -5 deg C to +15 deg C) it just will not restart unless the hot start is pulled... is this normal or is it a sign that something else is off colour.

I'm guessing that the pilot circuit is running too rich (and the hot start is leaning it off) but I'm no expert. Input would be much appreciated.

P.S if anyone is up for a ride in Slovakia let me know...

Cheers

Isn't that why it is there? -5 deg c? Wow, i couldn't imagine riding in that sort of cold! I guess it's what your used to, it doesn't get that cold here! Of course it regularly gets over 40 deg c in the summer months here.

My 650 only needs that when it's really hot, like miles of single track in warm weather, and I kill the engine.

Needs choke to start, starts without choke when warm, needs hot start when very hot.

I have what would be considered a very rich pilot jet.
