Bike Died No Kick Start Only Bump Start[Broken Valve Spring]

I'm not sure why you're saying it is hitting. It doesn't show any contact on either the valves or the piston, looks just like the service manual said it would look.

TCK'...it is for sure a good idea to assemble your valves in the head and check that the valves are seating and sealing correctly.
Remember that a torch is a flashlight here, using a torch with any solvent could be exiting. :D

You may be lucky and did not bend a valve. But if your motor has many hours on it now is the time to put new valves and the old style springs in it.

Yeah next thing you know I'd be posting up with no eyebrows :)

Excuse my ignorance since I'm brand new to 'bergs but what's the difference between the old style and new style springs?

I bought the bike with 2800 miles on it but I can't recall the hours off the top of my head. Only issue I've heard to look out for is the rollers on the rocker arms not performing well due to a bearing failure in the roller, but these spun very well no signs of bearing problem. What's the recommended hours for replacing the valves? I had MotoExotica price me up all the bits and pieces in case everything was bad when I opened it up. Did you guys use just a normal motor valve spring compressor or do one of the "small" engine ones work?

Thanks for the tips guys. I appreciate the advice.

look. your phuqing valve was touching the piston!

I'm not trying to be smart arse just asking what indicates the contact cause I truthfully didn't see it while inspecting.

I'm not discounting anything anyones saying, and I'm intending to perform all the checks that were recommended I just want for my own personal knowledge what indicates the contact cause with my limited motor work experience I don't see it.

Thanks guys!

*EDIT*

OH yeah I'll get more pictures of the piston tonight, I just haven't been home in two days. Going to get a pint with some mates tonight then I'll get home and take a couple more pictures at different angles.
