I have a husaberg 2001 and as a lot of people here and not here im interested in increasing the fuel range of my berg. Although its a old model i have realised that the old 4 gallon clarke tank its very very demanded its a like gold ! haha so like a lot of people i would be interested in some of them. Anyway any other ideas or ways of increasing the fuel range would be welcome . Let me know what you have done to increase it !

Husaberg made an under the seat yellow plastic auxiliary tank that holds about a gallon or so. I don't know if they are still available new. I have a one new in the box (not for sale) so if you pick up a used one I could verify parts and provide instructions if it has any. Joe USA installed one on his 2004 550. detailed photos are in his gallery but this new version of husaberg.org has not installed the image gallery yet.

You can try to access his gallery on the original site by using "Way Back Machine" .

If you acquire a Clarke tank you will need the shorter 06-08 kick starter or shorten your old one.

The underseat tank productions has stopped some time ago as well as the 4 gallon clarke tank although obviously i think that both made a mistake stopping it cause we are in 2014 and the demand of these products are still very high. Any new ideas of adapting a new auxiliary tank would be welcome!

You may want to give Rick Bozarth a call as the Clarke tank was produced because of his efforts. I purchased mine from him when they first came out .He sold them for a period of time before they were available from Clarke Mfg.and resellers.

Welcome

I have an underseat tank, it's 3 liters.

And I'm keeping it. It, and the 06 10.5L tank makes 13.5 liters or 3.5 gallons for 130-140 miles.

It requires relocating the ignition computer. Mine was zip-tied to the relay when I got the bike.
