hey guys, i jus bought a 2011 390fe, so syked to get it. jus wondering wot exhaust(slip on or full system) u guys are running n how happy u are wit it. thanks guys

haha no ones got nothing!! so everyone is running a stock exhaust, yeah??? i know u can get fmf, akrapovic(pretty pricey) was jus wondering if anyone has something different n how it is

Mine came with Akrapovic and I guess I like it. I took the baffle out but it still is not as loud as my buddies jap bikes. I dont know the diffrence in performance because it is the stock setup on my 08450 with the baja kit.

Yeah, the stock ones are quieter! Who wants a barking pipe that pisses everyone off just to gain half a horsepower?

I have an FMF TiQ4 and I am satisfied with it. Slight performance increase but more importantly, it cuts down on the heat build-up. Still plenty quiet.

I have the FX450 so I didn't comment on the 390. I use the FMF mega bomb header with the 4.1 silencer. I use the quiet insert. Louder than stock but definitely not rude. Still quiet enough to pass the sound check.

I've got a couple of rides with a Two Brothers Racing slip on mounted to my 09 Fe450. It is a bit loud even with the db reducing insert. Noticeable power increase across the band. Modifiable and blingable, the build quality puts FMF to shame. They can be had on ebay for around $325.00 new.

It really comes down to cost vs. performance. You could easily spend $500 on an exhaust and get maybe 1-2 extra horsepower. To me its not worth it. Maybe weight savings.... I think a good suspension setup will go a lot further for the money.

Just my opinion..

There's nothing wrong with the factory exhaust that a couple very minor modifications won't solve. That leaves plenty of dough for other mods and good riding gear.

Hello Ruger,

What would those "mod's" be exactly? I am brand new to the Husaberg way of life.. :D I am an old KTM guy, but these new fangled FI bikes are kind of skeery....

Thanks for any advice. Be Blessed Brother, Eric.

it is simple, try to remove everything what stands the exhaust gas in the way. my muffler is a straight pipe from inside, it is not very loud and it works. it is not the stock one, but that does not matter. I would not pay the money for new akrap, I would rather spend it on suspension as well.

Cut off the restrictor in the endcap. This will increase power more than you would expect, help the machine run cooler, and only increase the sound level a little bit. Have fun with your new 390.

FMF megabomb full ti system mated to Akra ti end can on 570. Really light and awesome exhaust! Wakes up bottom/mid range considerably and revs faster + makes power all the way up to limiter. Much better than stock header with just the Akra slip-on can.

Installation can be PITA but it's worth it imo. Less weight more power.
