here is what I sent to BMG:
My Name is Earl, I bought a 1999 FE600E from my KTM dealer.
The bike had never had gas in the tank, I checked. I Bought the bike
as a leftover from the factory, that he picked up from KTM USA when he bought a bunch of used KTM's. Well after 12 hrs the lower end has went south, I pulled it apart and found the counter balancer gear and the gear on the crank were broken. Also found that the impeller for the water pump was Also shot. You can follow my posts on UHE, my name there is eman369 what I am looking for is the parts to fix it. I am willing and wanting to do the labor. Can you help with the two parts counter balancer and gear marked **** ?
I followed the Owners manual, changed the oil and checked the gap on the valves. I would have thought the bike would have taken me at least 100 hours before anything Like this would have happened. Parts I believe I need are as follows:
1999 FE 600 E:
Gasket kits:
260 062-02 gasket kit
200 027-01 gaskets valve covers (2)
200 075-01 cylinder head gasket
200 053-01 cam tensioner gasket
200 168-01 water pump gasket
340 040-01 o-rings (2)
Bearings:
360 030-01 roller bearing
360 001-01 ball bearing

Water Pump:
200 167-01 water pump rotor

370 013-01 steel pin
Gears:
210 057-01 gear wheel crank shaft *****
