here is what I sent to BMG:
My Name is Earl, I bought a 1999 FE600E from my KTM dealer.
The bike had never had gas in the tank, I checked. I Bought the bike
as a leftover from the factory, that he picked up from KTM USA when he bought a bunch of used KTM's. Well after 12 hrs the lower end has went south, I pulled it apart and found the counter balancer gear and the gear on the crank were broken. Also found that the impeller for the water pump was Also shot. You can follow my posts on UHE, my name there is eman369 what I am looking for is the parts to fix it. I am willing and wanting to do the labor. Can you help with the two parts counter balancer and gear marked **** ?
I followed the Owners manual, changed the oil and checked the gap on the valves. I would have thought the bike would have taken me at least 100 hours before anything Like this would have happened. Parts I believe I need are as follows:
1999 FE 600 E:
Gasket kits:
260 062-02 gasket kit
200 027-01 gaskets valve covers (2)
200 075-01 cylinder head gasket
200 053-01 cam tensioner gasket
200 168-01 water pump gasket
340 040-01 o-rings (2)
Bearings:
360 030-01 roller bearing
360 001-01 ball bearing
360 002-01 ball bearing
Water Pump:
200 167-01 water pump rotor
330 010-01 circlip
370 013-01 steel pin
Gears:
210 057-01 gear wheel crank shaft *****
210 078-04 counter balancer *******
Any help is greatly appreciated
I can be contacted here or...
E-mail’s: [email protected] or [email protected]
Thank you,

Earl

Hey dan, If i am not mistaken eman's bike was one of the "decker cycles specials" if this is true, I doubt a call to decker's will be worth the .25

Eman is this correct? or do i have you confused with another...

Sounds like another bike sold by someone
that shouldn't even be selling washing
machines or TV satelite systems.A shame.

Wilkum what is your screen resolution?
It seems you hit the carriage return each
time you reach the right side of your
screen. Am I right?

Yes this was one of deckers bikes, with no gas in the tank
I thought I would be Ok.
I did receve the title. The title took about a week and a half
to my door.

LeFrog;Yes, it's just my trademark
way of posting.How is this?
Sorry about the berg Eman369.
It kinda reminds me of some
flying lures I ordered.I bought
a left over demo berg from
a gone under dealer also. No
dealer support sucks.

hey eman, It should have been okay! I almost bought one of them as well a few years ago. But I have to say that good dealers have good reputations, or no reputations, but dealers that have bad reps that pop up all over, have them for a reason, it was not difficult to find many bad stories about decker cycles when i did a web search. so that was enough to make me spend my money elsewhere. Since you have delt with him for a few years and have always had a good relationship with him you should get him to help you out. If he is a good dealer and wants to prove that he has been given a bad rap, he will do everything he can to make it right.

I think you can clean gas tanks, or at least put a new one on a bike that has a history....

wilkum and TJT are one and the same hey!

stay here bud and get another berg. learn from a previous mistake and do it right next time.

you'll go made talking to yourself over there!

not too sure about the michael jackson thing though.....

regards

Taffy

Since Michaels latest plastic surgery the
older boys now want to sleep with him.
This will save him a bundle in legal costs
and his next CD should target a larger
audiance than before.

literariness : It is now widely maintained that the concept of "literariness" has been critically examined and found deficient. Prominent postmodern literary theorists have argued that there are no special characteristics that distinguish literature from other texts. Similarly, cognitive psychology has often subsumed literary understanding within a general theory of discourse processing. However, a review of empirical studies of literary readers reveals traces of literariness that appear irreducible to either of these explanatory frameworks. Our analysis of readers' responses to several literary texts (short stories and poems) indicates processes beyond the explanatory reach of current situation models. Such findings suggest a three-component model of literariness involving foregrounded textual or narrative features, readers' defamiliarizing responses to them, and the consequent modification of personal meanings.

Thanks for clearing that up Ken. I couldnt have said it better myself
