i appear to have overengineered my old plug wrench i made after giving away my original. i told speaker that i would make him one and after measuring it to cut and weld, i noticed it would be easier just to cut it and drill a couple of holes. it makes it easier to get in and out and also to turn it. i used a cheap 13/16 to 5/8 ace hardware lawnmower plug wrench and cut the 13/16 side off so that the total length is about 65mm. then i drilled two holes opposite each other at about 50mm. works like a charm.
in the picture is how i carry my spare plugs and on the end of the top one is a piece of soft tubing (could be a bit longer, but thats all i had) so that you can slip it over the loosened plug to unscrew it and also put it back in. pic attached.
(so dom, make your own!)

Soooo, Mike sold you a bike with which you need to carry not one, but two spare plugs? Curses on that Texan dude!

How did I not see this thread? I was wondering why when Darrin brought his bike back he did not also bring the Ned-Plug Special 2000
