Battery Removal?

I just purchased my first Husaberg (A used 2008 550). After we got home and took it for a spin it died and will not start due to a dead or very weak battery. I am a little perplexed on how to remove the battery. Any easy solutions to accessing and removing the battery?

Without doubt, it's a *****!

I found it easiest to remove the rear shock absorber and, having disconnected the leads, pull the battery cage backwards.

it really is a *****, i had same case scenario
i had to remove the carburator , gas tank, rear break oil holder, and some few other units. its not done in 123 but its not TO hard either ;)

i didnt go by removing the rear shock so that i dont know how is

Not owning one of these bikes and seeing what you mean, it sounds like there was not a lot of thought put into the design process ?

I'd say quite the opposite, mine is the easiest bike to work on I've ever owned. You just need to realise that there are definite easy and hard ways to do things. Do it the easy way!
