Hello guys,
I connected the battery of my Husaberg 450 2009 in wrong way... I pressed the start button and realised that the starter motor was turning the wrong way round.... I connected the battery in the right way... Now the engine is turning right but the fuel pump doesn't work and the bike doesn't start.... I need your help, any idea that which piece was killed?

I’m new to the husabergs, having just picked up a completely destroyed FE550…but, I’ve done what you’ve done with KTM’s and Moto Guzzis. You should check your fuse box located beneath your seat. You should see a fuse for the fuel pump and I’m betting it’s blown. It’s a 10 amp fuse, so it doesn’t take much to pop it. They’re regular blade type fuses. You’ll just need to locate the blown fuse and replace it with a new one.

Hi!
Checking the fuses is the first thing to do. Then comes the fuel pump relay (under the fuel tank). There is a rollover sensor under the seat! Don't mix it up. If the fuel pump does not work even when supplied with 12 volts (direct supply), then the engine control computer may be the problem. In the worst case, it was ruined (approx. €400). For me, the fuel pump lines became short-circuited (FX450 2009). Since then, the fuel pump receives a voltage of 4.5 volts. The engine does not get fuel because of this. The pump is good by the way. I wish you good luck! Akos,

I appreciate your reply. I have already checked all the fuses and they are all ok... actually it is a bit strange. In the next few days I will check the power relay.

Hi Akos, thank you very much.

Ok, I have already located this relay, I will check it in the next few days .... If the relay is OK, the failure would be in the ECU, isn't it?

What about this contact (attached screenshot) that activates the relay in the regulator? Could the regulator be broken?
I think it might be the regulator because sometimes when I put my battery on charge connected to the bike the fuel pump was activated automatically and I think this is caused by this contact in the regulator.....
Could you help me with this?

Hi Diego! Unfortunately, I don't know if that contact can cause such a problem. I was advised by the KTM service to take my motorcycle to them, and they will make a diagnosis of the engine control computer. According to them, in my case the computer failed because the relay works and the fuses work. Unfortunately, without a diagnostic test, one can only guess at the source of the error. I recommend that you also take your motorcycle to an official KTM service center. Hello, Ákos

I will write later how the servicing of my motorcycle ended, but unfortunately I don't have the time or money to deal with it now. I hope you get lucky and find the source of the problem soon. Best regards, Ákos

Hi again Akos,
Thank you very much, it's very difficult for me to go to an official KTM service, so my principal purpose here is to find the source of the error, or almost the main source. In this case I will be able to buy a second hand part to revive my bike.
My next step will be check the power relay... and then I believe that I will buy a non original regulator only to check...

This contact on the regulator is driving me crazy..... Does anyone know what it does?

Thank you in advance guys
