When reassembling my 2002 650 engine, I notice that there is some play in the balancer driving shaft.
Is this normal play that will go away when the engine warms up or something like that, or did I mess up the new bearing while installing the lower cam chain sprocket and the balancer drive shaft gear?
So is this normal or should I open it up again and replace that bearing?
Ps. The sidecover is not on yet, so there is only one bearing supporting the shaft, maybe this is the problem? Don't wanna put the sidecover on and off unnecesary to prevent damage to the waterpump seal.
