Had a customer purchase this kit for his '06 FE450 and it came with no instructions. To anyone who has installed one....Does the seal go to the crankshaft or to the case?
Also...which direction does the aluminum piece with the bearing go in relation to the crankcase and the sidecover?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Fritz

G'Day kadlec,
I will call Orangeberg, the guy here in Australia who developed the kit and he will explain it all for you ASAP.
Cheers
Garry.

send your email address to [email protected] and i will forward some fitting instructions, breifly the seal goes into the case and the alloy piece goes in flush as well with bearing facing out.

RE: Re: Austrailian Waterpump Kit

Can we see some photos? I checked your gallery, it did not show it.

Also what does it do? What years does it fit?

Thanks!

Got one fitted to my 07 650 when it was stripped to fix the case join under warranty by Suttos. I got it from OrangeBerg, not under warranty, and Suttos fitted it while it was apart. The standardseal was also leaking after a few hours from new. Completely dry initially, but after a few hours and now at about 25 hrs since fitting there is a very faint oil film on the cases after 2-3 hours use. Means that its all getting lubed and most probably wouldn't even notice. I'm happy as its way better than it was from new. I guess I'd be even happier if the factory got it right from new, but!!!!!
