Faktor

i don't know who the aussie importer is but he certainly looks after his customers doesn't he!

love the $500aus cash back. i think he'll move them!

Tim-that was either very dim or sarcastic! i trust you were being sarcastic but as a yank can you pre-warn us please :p :p

i've noticed that americans are now beginning to understand the meaning of the word 'irony'. is nothing safe!!!!!!!!

regards

Taffy :D :D

i'm sure the lip doesn't help-that's all i can say.

understand your annoyance. the husey dealers should definately take it on a trade in-that's spineless!

why don't you have a word with the importer and tell them that you'd like another if only they would take it in. maybe they will help?

BMG?

It seems you have a problem with Husaberg. My experiences have been good so far. Use of expensive oil and very regular oil and oil filter changes I think seems to help alot. As well very regular airfilter changes say after every ride. And regular valve adjustments for good starting.

It seems to me that any high performance 4 stroke has its issues CRF450, YZ450, WR450, KTM520 etc. Have you thought of contacting Husberg direct about the problems you have etc.

In Australia we have 12 month warranties on FE models. Anyway sad to hear that all is not well with you and your steed.

upgrade kit?

The "real" deal on the update kit "according" to my dealer is that he will only offer it if he sells an 04 & buys ANOTHER??? But this is not what the Vic dealer informed me?????????The Vic dealer also gives an additional $500 cash back and you get a hat, t shirt and Camel back?? Good stuff.
I have polished up mine and its in the paper for sale this w/end for $7900 ono but the shop isnt keen to trade but will but for $6000 with NO variation to the RRP of any new bike? If I do manage to sell it I'm not sure what to get this time, 300EXC, 525 EXC or a 04/550/450 Berg?

It's hard to sell a Husaberg in Sweden too. It's only the Husaberg dealers who trade but they will not pay much for it. It's less than 4700USD for a 501 -02. The good thing is that you can choose if you want at new Husaberg or KTM since it's the same dealer. You have one month warranty I belive. A new -04 in Sweden is around 9730USD and a -05 is
10912USD.

Hi Gang,

In Oz we have a new Husqvarna importer. After a few hiccups over the previous few years with availability and reliability Huskys now have a 2 year warranty on enduro models. Not sure of the fine print, but the word is they do not want even the rumour of a problem getting around.

I suspect that I'll just keep riding my 98 FE501 into the sunset. Not worth much now and won't stop. The only thing I might do is junk the WP Extreme forks for something else.

Cheers
Steve

Huskies

Yeah the Huskies get 24 month w/tee and the Bergs get 12 months, pretty ahh?
I beleive with the Huskies there is a strict service regime, ie must be registered, no racing, the dealer must service the bike which (I think) includes a strip down to check the crank etc at aprox 50 hours? Perhaps Twisty can give us the goods as he is set to get a 450 VERY soon? Ohh and they are alot cheaper than Bergs or KTM's. $11900 Aust for the 450.
