Are the frames of '99 FC and FE 600 interchangeable?

Also what other model frames could replace a 99' FC600 frame. How about a '96 501? Can somebody post a link to a husaberg model history/model evolution page or similar?

I'm trying to figure out if I can get a race bike plated by swapping the frame with a street legal one...?

1997-1999 models are virtually the same. The e-start frames are different (larger cradle)to accommodate the starter. 1996 and below models have similar frames except for the e-start ones I think .

I would guess that the engine and most parts will bolt up to a 96 frame from a 99. The exhaust from a 96 may be needed. You would probably need to use the FE tank with the FE frame as the FE uses two small air filters.

A 98 or 99 kick start donor bike would probably make things easiest.
