Are Husaberg Starters Rebuildable?

When I push the starter button all that happens is the solinoid clicks. I had this happen once before. To fix it I took the starter apart, cleaned the brushes, and put it all back together. It worked for awhile but not anymore.

I guess I need new brushes and springs.

Any recommendations.

scully has used a CBR600 starter that is considerably cheaper. i've written a little in the survey on it.

You should be able to replace the brushes, but they aren't listed as a separate spare part. If you can't find any as a direct replacement, cutting larger ones down to make them fit is an easy option that works well. I have done that on outboard starters and often you can make the brushes longer than original.

If you modify some to fit, keep us posted on what you used.

"usually" when the solenoid "just" clicks, it means you have a flat battery?
Try this first.
