I have been looking for an inexpensive (but good) solution for the stator for my -98 400 FE. I realized some internet shops sell the same stator to Aprilia AF1 125 (from around 89-92). Clearly the stator looks the same and is located on the right side at the block. BUT I then asked from a shop who has a used one on the shelf if they could measure the resistances. They did, and the values were exactly the same as Husaberg has, only that they are the same as Husaberg from -99 on has, so 3.05 kOhm red-black and 170 Ohm green-black. It has no blue wire, so only 5 wires, as seen on the pic (stolen off the web). I guess the blue is earth and this is earthed to the frame / motor? (Also some other stores refer to the Aprilia stator as ST5525L, when the Husaberg stator is ST5500L.)
As far as I understand Husaberg has no such a stator: Ohms match the 99-> and the direction of rotation matches pre-99. Has anyone used this one on their pre-99 Husaberg? Does it brake the ignition coil / CDI if used as such? Will it work with a modofication? Is it worth it?
I'm in a high tax country in EU, so ordering an expensive (to me) part from outside of EU is the last option (and the only person I know who rewinds is not reachable).
