no posts yet about this article? I liked what they said about my bike. Performance, fast and light - Bingo right on the money, much better in my veiw then that long stroke 450XCW that won the shoot out. Put a plow on that orange tractor and sell it to farmers.

the HUsaberg (which was second in the test report) is Fast nimble and the real performance bike in the line up.!!

RE: April 07 Dirt Bike E start 450 shoot out- FE450e does go

i read the article also it seems only logical for the owners of husaberg to pay out the bucks to have themselves rated over the berg dont you think. i just think its funny that the only bike to come close is a berg clone ya know

LONG LIVE THE BERG!!!!

April 07 450 Shootout

I just read that Article the other day, and I have to take off my hat to Dixie Sales, as i believe it is them that are pushing the Husaberg to get in the Magazines, as a matter of fact there was an advertisement for Husaberg and GasGas, dont know if you saw it or not. it had the Husaberg front tire up against the GasGas front tire.....Really cool ad, especially sisnce you dont see adds for Husaberg or GasGas like that....

Hopefully soon we will see a shootout with the TM, GASGAS Husaberg,Husqvarna, Beta and Sherco, and nothing in the entire magazine but reports on each one of these bikes different models of course, and thier adds to those bikes.....Lets see if the Magazines are ready to take a risk and open up to some of the other brands that are incredible machines yet a bit unknown....whatta think ?

RE: April 07 450 Shootout

oh man you know it!!! i did see that add its actually in my garage in a plastic folder i like to hang up all the berg pics i like and the garage is the only place allowed. i hope that one day we do get to see a true 450 shootout and not just a random berg placed in against a couple others y aknow like you said have them all in there

RE: April 07 450 Shootout

Well maybe together with enough of us wanting it to happen, it will, I picture an entire magazine of this and whatever parts those bikes use respectivly will have thier adds in there as well....Now think about what doors this would open up to the general public, and it would open new doors to those specific bike brands....If the top 5 were not in a magazine for one whole month would it mean any less sales for those bikes, I doubt it.....I mean really we have all seen the adds of the Top5 for the last 20 years, It may upset those readers that want to read about some insignificant upgrade to thier top 5 bikes, Id sure like to see the look on thier faces when they pick up the magazine and see TM GASGAS HUSABERG HUSQVARNA BETA SHERCO, and any others that I might have missed on the Cover, that would be a sight to see

RE: April 07 450 Shootout

oh how friggin awsome would that be lets start up a petion on here so that we could send it to the magazine dirt bike or dirt rider and see who chomps at it first i know i have a script to both so that wont help any

anone have a clue how to do this?

Hey Guys,

Australasian Dirt Bike magazine did a shoot-out on just those bikes in April's edition. All bikes were 550 class enduro's. Husaberg scored the second lowest ranking only to the Aprilla v-twin as the RXV550 was too much of a weapon to ride in the bush !!

Ranking from first to last;
Husqvarna TM510, KTM 525 EXC, Sherco 5.1i, TM EN530Fes, Husaberg FE550E, Aprilia RXV550. The Beta RR525 didnt make the shoot-out due to freight delays.

I was quite disappointed with the write-up actually & as usual, they didn't set the bike up as they complained of it being hard to start hot & spikes in the mid range of the shocks.

The final comment for the article said " Beneath it's funky yellow & blue cosmetics, the Hindenberg....sorry."

The biggest thing it to get them on the bikes for a week, not an afternoon when they do these shoot-outs but Time v Money, it'll never happen. He who advertises the most gets the press.

Cheers,

Wal

April 07 Shootout

Was that recently? Just curious, do u have a copy of the article or a web addy, Also I believe you about he who has the money gets the advertisement, and I agree with you they need the bikes for 30 Days or at least a good 10 days, Let things get broke in, ride in different areas, switch riders, professional Riders and Novice...that type of thing, well if these companies keep making bikes and they are getting better and better, we will see them in the magazines,,,,,Hey what about Consumer Reports, that is supposed to be an unbiased magazine. that may be a start.

V8 shoot out results

It was only published in the latest ADB mag that came out last week.

http://www.adbmag.com/mag_latest.php is a link to the magazine site but you have to buy the mag to get the article. I'm getting sick of reading the same 'ole $hit in these mags. I wish they would take a bike & play with it for a month. At least then would they have a better understanding of the bike. There's not a new bike released every month yet they have a new story every month on the same old bikes ? All written from a different perspective to keep the punters interested. :?

RE: V8 shoot out results

Wildman I couldnt agree with you more, I mean these magazines are really influencing people to go out and buy based off of one test, Somebody who perhaps is in the market for lets say a Suzuki RMZ450 , well they go to the store and, wow look on the Cover is a RMZ 450, so they pick up the article and read it, this is a 4 hour shootout or some basic shootout, and the riders they choose are already used to this bike anyway, so they say yes it does this that and the other thing really well, then they say add a new pipe and you get x amount of horsepower. In that same shootout may be a HUSABERG, and some of the riders have never even seen one let alone riden one, so when they ride it hell they never even have time to get used to it, so it comes in at the bottom of the list, you cannot get used to a bike in 4 hours not even 24 hours, they need to be realistic, and Unbiased.
They have just instilled into a mind that this is the bike for them. and you are right bikes come out once a year, yet the magazines push those bikes 12+ times a year, and its all the same, how can we change this, Instead of talking about it, Lets do something about it. Seriously
