i just got my ecu back from being unlocked for the ust and holy crap the instructions for the using of the user setting tool suck...the manual tells you haw to change different aspects of the fuel curve etc but not how the changes affect the bike...i have an 2011 fs 570, and was wondering if someone could give me a little insight as to what the different things do to the actual fuel curves and the performance. thx for any info, rm

i bought the same 011 fs570 and have power issues.feels like it's corked up hard.where did you get the programer?how much?

there are 3 ecu maps, 1 restricted which u have...lean as hell. 2 there is a un restricted map, 3 and the one i got which is the ust tool map. the user setting tool is 600 bucks.tho. but will compensate for any type of change you make to the bike. im running a ackro can with about a 2 inch opening and waiting on my dna air filter. i also trimmed the air box. it ran like crap fell on its face on the bottom and on top. i put the baffle back in the pipe it helped a little but not much.i just got my ecu back it runs better but feels really flat and i know there is more in the bike.. i want to get out. i have a thread over on ktm talk with the same subject title. i have had a lot of replies it's in the husaberg section...things seem pretty dead here lately..check out my other thread. rm

I re-mapped a FS 570 ECU with the help of experts.
The difference is HUGE, even without changing the RPM limit.
I openned the airbox a little, use the Doma full system. With the stock ECU, and the most powerful map, a 450 tuned KTM was faster everywhere. In roll-on situations it was embarasing, especially since I built this 450.
Then I replaced the stock ECU with the special one.... It is like riding another bike.

The engine has a lot of reserves in it. It is very weak when delivered. Intake, exhaust and ECU tuning are mandatory to extract some of its potential.
Seeking for more performance, I'd go for: SMR gear ratios, serious head porting, doulbe valve springs setup for higher RPM limit, compression-ration tuning, upper RPM limit.
