Has anyone put a dual sport kit on a 2008 550 or used the factory parts to make it road legal? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I prefer aftermarket pieces myself because Texas requires an indicator light for high beam, and the stock Husaberg multi-switch does not provide that. Brake switches, mirrors, horn, lighting, etc are all readily available aftermarket.
I registered my Husaberg from new with a road title and it was a piece of cake, at least in Texas. I have a feeling New York may be different!

from memory(in no particular order) you need the
euro wiring harness(you can use 05 and 06-08 but get the turn signal wiring bits and signals to match)
frt turn signal mounting bar
turn signals
rear hyd brake switch
05 rear tail light and fender(if your state requires a lit licence plate light)
LH Handle bar switch (3 pieces)dont forget to order the longer screws to mount the flasher switch assy
The blue and green instrument lights and bulbs
mirror
Horn
flasher relay
4- 10x1.25 nuts with washers
I probably missed a thing or two but that will get you there.
