I would have beat you but kind of figured this was a rhetorical post to get a classifieds ad in the forum for a little extra exposure.

"Is anyone else having problems selling their Husaberg? I'm having problems selling my 2001 Husaberg FX 470 with low miles, aftermarket exhaust, Scotts steering dampener, new graphics and fresh oil change and valve adjustment for $3,000.00 US dollars(although that is negotiable).

My number is 828-555-1212 if anyone would like to call me to tell me whether they're having problems selling their Husaberg."

Re: Anyone having trouble selling there husaberg

I have seen Husabergs in the Phoenix classifieds run for up to 2 years. Unless you can get someone that know's the bikes or can get someone to actually ride the bike, it's very hard to sell one.
My best luck has been letting people ride my bikes. Once they find out what they are like, the sale becomes much easier. When I say people, I mean people I know, people that are, or maybe in the market for a bike. Last but not least, they must have the means to purchase a bike.
You buy a Berg because you want one. As far as investments, they are no better than that 12 pack of Bud you got sitting in the fridge. There easy enough to give away and either way your money is going to get pissed down the drain. The only upside to either is that they might just show you a good time.

i'm still wondering what a 250 fx is. ???

Re: Anyone having trouble selling there husaberg

I'm with Ned, WTF is a Husaberg 2010 250FX? :confused2:
It must be either a Husaberg TE250 :badair: or a FX450 mopedsmile: ?

You think it's hard selling a Husaberg, try selling a VOR.

i want the VOR....I just have to sell a few Husabergs first :D

Re: Anyone having trouble selling there husaberg

Bergs are not unique. If you have anything for sale, you need to make it visible to enough qualified buyers and price it right. You're off on one or both of those components.

Re: Anyone having trouble selling there husaberg

I sold my 08 450 Berg this spring in 2 weeks and I'm not trying to brag here but I had to be realistic. It was my decision to sell it, I didn't have to, I loved the bike but I REALLY WANTED a FI Berg and living in the frozen Northland makes me hate carbies. So I let go of my huge price expectations, book value and all that nonsense, and while I didn't give it away, I got a fair price. No, I didn't get every dime I put into it nor should I ask the next owner to pay for that. I got that it was my deal and not someone else's. I had lots of offers and most of them fairly close to the final selling price. The new owner is a new Berg owner just like I was, on goes the cycle.

Part of it is current economic times and...hey it's a used bike! So selling is going to be harder but ya gotta be realistic and move on. Ok I'm off my soapbox (don't ask me about real estate  )

......and what do you really think Ladyberg about property prices?

let it all hang out there now......

me? :lilangel:

Taffy

Re: Anyone having trouble selling there husaberg

Depending on the bike and how much it is realistically worth, sometimes you might as well just keep it. Need to sell it to finance another bike, maybe just ride it one more year and save for the new one. For example, my old 06 KTM 450XC has served me well but its got a ton of hours. As far as selling it to a friend, my buddies know I have ridden it hard. I always bought the service parts it needed and maintained it properly but its no cream puff. Rather than sell if for pennies [like 2,000 dollars], I am keeping it. Plan to put some more dual sport like tires on it, gear it up and ride it on those real casual exploring days...
