Any news on the skinny tank?

I read here that the new skinny, low capacity tank will be ready in Feb. Is there any updates on these tanks?

I "think" I may have secured a slightly used Omero tank but the plastic one would probably be a better choice if available.

thx
Scott

I spoke to David L, the international sales director (or something similar to that), about this the other day and he said that the first prototype was to small (!) and that they needed to make another one. But. They didn't say that this would delay production but I'll beleive it when I see it.

Would be good if I could get a different tank on my bike and get rid of diaghragm pump. Would later models fit on mine ?

What is the Omero skinny tank?
Also is the skinny plastic version gonna be a Husaberg factory item?

The Omero tank is an alu one. There is one version that fits <=05 and one more similar to the 06 and newer. See http://www.omeromoto.com/special_parts.htm

Yes, the smaller plastic one is going to be a factory item. But unfortunately it is not coming until sometime around May (this year that is  ) according to David when I spoke to him last week.

Thanks.Interesting looking stuff & it looks like there's a couple of different styles & being my Italian is lacking it's all sorta confusing to say the least.
Definitely stylish looking & if it slims down the tank & radiator shrouds it would be a nice addition.Guess I'll be keeping my eyes open for some word from the factory in regards to the plastic version.

Trust me. husaberg.org will be the first place to read when any news about the smaller factory tank (assuming I hear the news as soon as they exist) :!: :D

May? That sucks! I was hoping to have it for the first National Enduro up here in April.

Hey there AF,

It's not a bolt-on affair, but if you check out Oyk's gallery, you will find pics of the cleanest swap from earlier to later plastics I've ever seen. A couple other people have tried the conversion, but it looked disjointed. Oyk's conversion is perfect IMHO. He might be able to give you a better idea of what is required exactly.

thanks,

Yeah. It sucks big time. I was also hoping to have it by the start of our season here.

I will keep you updated when I hear anything new.

Jocke. When does your seaosn start? I was thinking about attending some swedish races this summer too. Is there a list of your season's races somewhere?

Sorry about the OT!

I have put an 2002 tank on my 07 380, the old tank is much more narrow and the seat fits, but you have to use the 02 shrouds. It makes moving up on the tank a lot easier, I don't understand why Husaberg went to that fat tank, everybody that rides my bike likes everything but the tank. I also have an 20 tank set up for a dry break for sale $200.00 us

can anyone get hold of scott?

he's oblivious to my persuasive PMs!!!!

regards

Taffy
