Any news on 350 class?

I heard KTM had agreed with FIM that the 450 class should be changed to 350. The reason being that 450 are too powerful and cant get their power down, are expensive to maintain (compared to 250 2Strokes) and would bring them to be on par with 250 2Stroke.(power output)
I myself would like to own a 350 Berg if they made one. The 550 is becoming a handful in my old & decrepit state.

Maybe I should get a 2009 450 and detune it. :wink:

the change to a 350 class was a bit of a white elephant. it was put forward by ktm and someone, who i cant recall, but i think was a former bigwig at the AMA. the japanese factories dont want it at the moment so i wouldnt go holding your breath waiting for the change.

the new for 2009 husky is 310cc not 350.

I spoke to the Berg dealer and he said that the internals for the 2009 models engine head would be identical to the KTM. Therefore if I order a 09 450 Berg i can put the KTM 380 kit in the new bike. However he told me this would not be needed as the dealers "may" be given free reign on the EFI mapping to give the bike whatever characteristics you want.
Now I've just got to sell my 05 Berg and join the queue for the 09 model:lol:
