yes ,husaberg is proud of the 37 mm valves in the 2001-2003 bikes.fortunatly our friend does not have them.in north america the vales in an older 501 or 600 are only ~ $50 each.dan

Yes, well he's lucky then.
Mr Husaberg can kiss my hairy butt cos I wasn't payin A$220 each for a piece of stainless crap!
I had some made for $55 bucks each and i reckon they're better than OEM.

who charges $ 220.00 each ? ... i paid that for 4 .

oem hussaberg .

I think you will find hes referring to the 37mm intakes used on the earlier(pre04) engines.

I have read a thread on another site about a Toyota valve that can be used as a replacement for the 37s?- but requires shortening and collet groove machining.

Id be looking real hard at Fererra blanks and getting them machined like has been discussed here before.

Yeah I'm talkin about the pre 04 37mm intakes - $220 each for OEM berg.
I got some made from a guy near Brisbane for $55 each.

A guy in Brisbane done some for my 02 FE400 and its still going strong :)

Paid same as you :)

Probably same guy. I just sent him my old ones and he made me knew ones...

Yeah me too.
The company I used was Tighe Engineering - Ivan Tighe.
They specialise is billet cams, custom valves and do all sorts of cam repairs and stuff like that.
I found this out after I got a new cam so I didn't ask how much it would cost for them to repair or make a new cam for a berg.
Just don't wanna know.
If I need 1 again I'll be askin.

When I had to replace my 501 cam a few years ago Tighe were charging almost the same as OEM for an exchange, so I went OEM. I now have a blank and I'll go with a Lineaweaver exchange if I ever need to do it again. I do hear that they do good work though.

When I needed to get my valve seats replaced after they broke up way back in 99 Sutto organised it with someone who does it around the Penrith area. The valves have basically never got out of adjustment since, except for the roller followers going and taking the cam. 23,000 km and untouched since with Delo 400 @+/- 5 hours. 33,000 km all up
