Well if he didn't make it, he certantly didn't have far to go to the ground! As a spectator of Supermoto, I am amazed at the drifting skills you guys have and the pics of these guys in the corners, Damn near off the side wall of the tire! I love it!

I would say no - it appears he is already releasing his right hand grip or the bike has just pulled down in his grip - ie tucked in....
Something looks wrong.
Regardless - that he is in that good a shape, heeled over that far, is impressive.
Waaaay outta my league.

There seems to be some photographic aberration. It happens now with digital cameras at low shutter speed, things get stretch out a bit. Lots of weird photos of baseball pitchers are done like that. If you look at his right leg, it looks odd.
Well,I'm no expert on male body parts like some 
(sorry,couldn't help it)but it looks to me like his right foot is hard on the ground and his finger is on the front brake still.I bet if the rear is still drifting he can haul it upright and make it.

I only meant the photo is distorted. It was not really leaning that dramatically.
