Howdy all,

In case you didn't know the first supercross race of the season from Anaheim will be broadcast live tonight on the Speed channel starting at 7:00pm Pacific standard time.

I don't watch much Supercross, but I checked this one out, man that track is knarley!

If things would have been different by just an hour it would have really gotten good, the rain started coming down in buckets about an hour or so after the 450 main.

I like supercross, to me it's just amazing what those guys do. I don't know if you caught the commercial for the 80's night coming up in two weeks. The track is supposed to be a replica of the 1986 track when David Bailey and Rick Johnson had their epic dual, quite arguably the best race in the history of supercross. I was there with a couple of my friends that night.

I usually go to the 3rd Anaheim race as it is real close to my birthday, so that's what I give myself for a present every year. I can only stand that one trip, and it's mainly for the racing. The whole show is just too WWF for me to spend that money three times. Most of the people are just posers, and not enthusiasts like it used to be. In 1986 at the kick off, there was 49,742something people there, a record sell out crowd. Now the stadium won't even hold that many people.

And what's up with the format change? There used to be two SX heats, two SX lites heats, then two SX semi's, then one SX lites last chance qualifier, then one SX lCQ. Now it's two lites heats, two sx heats, two lites lcq's, two sx lcq's and the two mains. I thought it was better the old way as there was more emphasis on the SX class, now it seems both are equal. Just my two cents.

It was a good race though, Chad Reed was on a mission, and it looks like James has learned some maturity from RC's trainer. My fav KW at least got 5th. It was good show none the less
