it is a boost wire. when you hit the starter button power goes directly from the starter solenoid to the battery and up to the white wire. the delivery wire is a blue/white.
without it, the electric start functions but the bike cannot start. there isn't enough power coming from just the power of the stator.

nobody has tried it. they start kickstart when you've done all the little tricks. I have a viedeo of them in the Taffmeisters Facebook/videos section.

No doubt they are easy kicking bikes, my 99 just seems to have very weak kicking spark now...stator probably going tits up
The plug is brand new, it just is weak. I'll mess with it a little more before ditching all this SEM crap and going with a microsquirt
Thanks taff, I've gotten megasquirt running on about 5 different vehicles with outstanding results. Sandrails, 2 strokes, turbo porsches etc...a microsquirt with proper tuning would no doubt be a nice upgrade but I've already spent too much on this bike! Amazing how far the technology has progressed in the past 10 years
