Hey all,

Well, last weekend was RD 8 of the AMA series and for the third time this year it was in Loire Racing Aero P.A. Husaberg's home state of Wisconsin. Once again we had a 4 rider effort as Mike BERGman, who had been traveling with us all season, has decided to move up from the lites class (where he sat 16th in points), and finish out the season on a Berg. Mike joined lead rider Robert Loire, Colin Horn, and Frenchman Olivier Annequin who was making his second trip across the pond to join our series.

For the second round in a row, we were greeted with a soggy rain-filled weekend. The rain seemed to keep some riders (and most spectators) at home, so with only 24 riders signed up, there was no need for an LCQ and everyone instantly to the main event.

As usual, Robert got a good start from his 3rd row position and found himself well up in the top ten. After a late battle with factory Husky riders David Baffleuf and Gary Trachy, Robert finished up in 8th place. With 2 rounds to go Robert maintains 5th place in the standings, but did lose some ground to his 2 closest rivals Justin Ross, and Trachy, so he will have to fight hard to maintain his position to season's end.

A little further back in the field, Olivier and Mike had a very good battle amongst themselves and a couple others for 13-16th positions. In the end, the sly Frenchman was able to make a final pass stick on BERGman on the last lap to come home 14th with Mike right behind him in 15th. That's right folks, 3 Husabergs in the top 15!

Much further back in the field Colin Horn was having one of those weekends that you would just rather forget about and put behind you. So that's what I will do.

All-in-all, a fairly good weekend, Robert maintained 5th overall, 2 more Bergs showed up in the top 15, and the bikes all ran great all weekend. Also, we made up 20 points on Red Baron racing in the team standings to bring 4th place within reach by seasons end.

Next up: Nashville, TN on Oct. 14

Keep an eye on the schedule for Vs. (formerly OLN) to see the races on TV.

Also, if anyone is anywhere near Chicago this weekend, we would love to have you stop out at our track day this Sunday in Norway, IL.

Best Regards,
Colin Horn
