Robert Loire finished eighth in the Unlimited class, and Colin Horn made the show this time and finished 21st. Good job guys, waiting on the long winded race report from Colin ;)

Thanks Brett.

No time for a long winded report this time. I'm stuck in northern Minnesota trying to get some testing done (work related not bike related), before flying back to Chicago tomorrow night then hooking up with the rest of the crew and leaving straight for Salt Lake City.

Briefly: Robert qualified 10th, I qualified 23rd. Robert got a good start, then got tangled when Trachy went down on first lap. Fought back from about 18th to an eventual 8th place finish. I started decent had a few decent battles with some folks back in my section of the pack, then tried to stay out of the fast guys way when they came through again, eventually finishing 1 spot out of the points.

See you in a few days in SLC. BTW, are we allowed to bring in our own non-3.2 malted beverages, or will the Mormons confiscate them at the Utah border? :?

Hi Colin,

Great job back east at round 3!!!

I've never had a problem with the happy mormainians confescating beverages at the border. You can actually buy beer and wine at the local grocery store, 7-11, or what have you. But to get the HARD stuff, you have to buy that at the state liquor store which is open 8-5 Monday through Friday.

Are you guys racing at Wasatch raceway?

Thanks Dale.

Actually, we are running at Miller Motorsports Park. It is an all new facility in Tooele, UT, which is about 20 mi southwest of SLC. We are (for the 3rd time this year) running in conjunction with a Superbike national event there this weekend. Our track, like the main track, was just completed in the last year, and was built not as a converted go-kart track, but with Supermoto in mind from the start. It should be interesting to see how it is set up.

We are leaving around midnight tomorrow to try to make it in time for Thursday practice.

Thanks again for the well wishes
Regards
Colin
