Well folks, the time is here!

The Loire Racing Aero PA Husaberg Supermoto Team is on its way to Sunny CA (though weather.com suggests it may not be that sunny this weekend).

We got as much testing done in the time we had, the bikes are working good, and I believe we are too. Robert is looking every bit as good on the Husaberg as he did on that orange bike last year. Most importantly he is feeling confident and is happy with the set-up. I am still a little off his pace, but at this point, I did not expect to be running right along side him. I guess we will find out how ready we are this weekend.

The races go down Saturday afternoon/evening in Fontana, CA. If any of you are planning on being there, please stop by our pits. We should be pretty easy to find being the only Bergs there. Plus, Brett will have that awesome Blue Bergmobile parked nearby.

If you can't make it, you can follow along on the internet at www.AMAsupermoto.com. Just click on round 1 and they will have a couple links to the schedule and results sheets as well as a pretty neat "@ the wire" link that allows you to follow along semi-realtime with laptimes and current positions as the bikes cross the finish line.

I will have a full race report for you next week.

Best of luck guys! Will you run the Infineon round next month? If so I'll see ya there.

Rocky,

No, we won't be out there for that one. Since it isn't part of the AMA series, and with the current cost of fuel, we couldn't justify another 2000 mile trip at this point.

Besides, we have a double header here in the midwest at Shawano, WI, and Road America that weekend which will be a good practice for AMA Rounds 2 & 3 coming up in June.

Hi Colin,
What equipment?
The Austrian "factory bikes" and / or the Lineaweaver Cam / Jet Kit equipped model?

I had a positive preliminary report regarding the later, however, I know things are hectic and as such have refrained from calling. (I have also learned no news to be often good news regarding racers).

When time allows I would very much appreciate a performance evaluation.

Thank you in advance and best of luck this weekend.

Sincerely,
Dale

Dale,

Robert is running the Austro-Swedish Factory built motor in the '06 chassis, with Factory Connection suspension for this round. The main deciding factor on that decision was time. With very limited testing time and only one set of suspension ready to run, Greg hung it on the factory bike and Robert felt comfortable almost immediately.

We will have about a month between this round and the next to get both Robert's bikes and my bike set up with what we feel is the best possible combination of what we have available to play with. We will definetely be in contact and let you know the progress.

As far as the multiple picture requests: Yes, we will have a couple people taking shots and hopefully have some good stuff to show next week.

I gotta head to the airport in a couple hours.
Talk to you all next week.

Thank you.

Record keeping and staying "in the know" is very important (to me anyway) as such helps maintain a well honed edge.

Once again, best of luck and have a pleasant flight.

Dale
