AMA Pro Racing press release

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) held the first meetings of the "AMA Flat Track Rules Committee" at its corporate headquarters in Pickerington, Ohio on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Participants in the AMA Flat Track Rules Committee meeting included team owner Ed Adkins, Pat Alexander of American Suzuki Motor Corp., rider Shawn Baer, rider/team owner Chris Carr, tuner Greg Crow, Kevin Crowther of AMA Pro Racing, technical consultant George Halyak, Michael Lloyd representing Aprilia, tuner Dale Lineaweaver, Anne Paluso of Harley-Davidson Motor Co., Kurt Nicoll of KTM North America, and former rider/promoter Gene Romero. Keith McCarty of Yamaha Motor Corp., was not in attendance. Additionally, AMA and AMA Pro Racing staff members who attended included Patti DiPietro, Bruce Bober, Kerry Graeber, Doug Neubauer, Ken Rogers and Ken Saillant. AMA attorney Tim Owens was also in attendance. The meeting was chaired by AMA CEO DiPietro.

Ever the modest one, Mr. Lineaweaver was also at the "adults" table (unlike Thanksgiving, when he sits with the kids and puts pitted olives on his fingers......) :D

So what's Kurt got in mind???

Hi ken,
You know I don't pull punches. I also don't talk out of school. I was quite simply pleasantly surprised to have a representative of KTM present.

Sincerely,
Dale

Hey, Dale, did Chris Carr get the treatment he deserves for his world record?

Trust me, Chris Carr always receives the respect he deserves. I believe such has more to do with Chris simply being Chris then that of his many accomplishments. LOL

PS
During lunch it was indeed a treat to listen in on his his first hand account of Bonneville.

Keith McCarty of Yamaha Motor Corp., was not in attendance.

Big surprise, Keith never veiled his disdain for flat track racing.
