Am I to Tall for a berg?

I am looking at an 05 or 06 Berg 450. I am 6'4" and I am concerned about the cramped peg to seat height. Any tall Berg riders out there?

Tall seat and bar risers. John F3 is probably about your size. You might pm him and get his input.

Hi, I'm 6'1with a tall seat foam and cover from GUTS seats USA and scots damper under bar mount lifted the bars but there husaberg bar risers too, fits me well ..........colin

I'm 6'3" and dont find it an issue, it will depend on how long your legs are more than overall height.

As Berger says you have bar and seat options to help you out too.

Be sure and get the hard tall seat foam. The soft one while comfy, will defeat your purpose.

In addition to bar risers the stock triple clamp has 4 positions. There are two bolt holes in the top clamp, and the bar clamps themselves are eccentric. If you put the bars in the full forward position you will probably have plenty of room.

If that is not enough, get some bars with less sweep back, and or roll the stock bars up to reduce sweep and you should have plenty of room.

I'm 6'2" and have long legs and this is what I have done and the bike is plenty roomy.

Like Berger says, I am 6'4". The others here have already given you good advice. And, no the Berg will not be too cramped once you get a tall seat and bar risers installed.

I am running a Scotts damper with a under bar set up, so that takes care of the height. My bars are probably 40mm higher than stock. If you want to just do plain bar risers, any of the products that will work on the same year KTM will bolt right up to the Husaberg. Damper mounts are different though, because of the Husaberg 22mm TC offset.

On the seat, make sure and get the GUTS foam, like already mentioned--Tall and Hard. It is not that stiff, just right actually, and it makes the bike much easier to move around because it is nice and flat.

The last thing you can do is get some Fastway footpegs. They are adjustable a small amount down and back from stock position. I don't run them, but many do.

I am 6'4" and ride the FE550 and the only thing I am doing is adding some bar spacers as I feel a little too hunched over when standing. Other than that it is really a nice fit, probably the best fit I have had on any bike I have owned.

.

Who makes the Scotts mount and tower for the new 22 mm offset triple?

We were talking older model Husabergs, which is what I have. They have 22mm clamps too. I have no idea what is available for the 2010 Husabergs as far as damper set ups, since I am still stuck in the dark ages.

I don't know about the older Hussys, but I am 6'6" and I ride a '09 FE570. If anything the bike is too tall for me (I have a 32/33" inseam) - I am getting a bit old and getting a leg over it with the tall Guts seat is sometimes very hard. I got the Guts seat because it has more padding.
