Akra power headers

I see them listed in the hardparts but never hear of anyone running one (probably due to cost).
are they any good? do they increase power/torque or are they like snake oil?

Akra

I'm running the header after a mishap left the OEM unit crushed. Analysis is the header pipe combo leave the bike as if not quieter with more low end torque. I really like the unit, very clean, and yes pricey. I'm very satisfied.

I just want to know why the U.S. suggested retail price is $919.99, when the European price in English pounds is 370.79. When converting this to U.S. dollars this $618.59 when I checked about week ago. KTM-PARTS.COM has a 10% discount here is the U.S. but this doesn't come close to the $300 difference even with shipping overseas.

Prices

I paid the 6 hundy somethin. I get a racer discount too, so, though still outrageous I was ahem...justified. Ha. 10K on a dirtbike, hell , whats another 1.5K on an exhaust system.

The header(bomb) runs very,very close to the rad hose.I put one on a 390 and even when I secured the rad hose it still was only a couple millimeters from the header.I was not happy with the fit and removed it.Is there more room on the 450 or 570?
The price is high at approx 1100$ cdn...put that Ti stuff is always spendy.

Header

To be fair it was like $680, I ordered it from MSR when I bought the bike Oct of the remainder of this year.

The header is very close to the Rad hose, I shielded it with heat shielding material so that in the event of a crash it would not directly touch it.

$2K for the Titan slip-on and the header as a combo. Pretty high. The mark up is like 40%...?

Dealers can only dream of 40% on Akra pipes....

Also adding to US price woes is a 2007 Ti Import tariff that ranges from 15->45% depending on the material and the country of origin. The US only has one domestic Ti smelter (Titanium Metals Corporation NYSE:TIE)
