I'm just about to fit my new 46 springs in the open chamber wp's on my 09 fe450.

I just need to know what airgap to put in and/or the quantity of oil in each leg.

Thanks in advance

no, you're all wrong. try 115 and you can even go to 110 depending on shim stack strength (BV v MV). I'm on 110 now.

classic advice

so 110 or 115 is not between 100 and 130?

110 seems to be working for me now, just got to wait for taffy to to sort the shim stacks on his then I will be offering vast amounts of money for him to sort mine !

whato wardy!

mate I really have got them dialled in now! I couldn't really fault them at the weekend and that is just about a first but then you push your luck, ride harder and they start doing other crazy things and you progress!

the shim stacks are now balanced for sure and it is a case of what will the 5.0nm lead too?

I'll swap with Mark2eo this weekend if he wants too. we swapped on 30apr/1may and they both had 'qualities' I felt. his were re-valved but not sprung. mine had gone from .44s to .48s only.

be interesting!

get in touch by phone mate. I reckon you'd like these now. I ran the 50s at the weekend and the whole set-up is the best I've ever run. if you want them doing I'd say oil, seals, shims, springs, bushes.
