hello,

I have ordered also a x2 cam for my husaberg 650 2004,

My question is do the carb need to reset.

I mean much leaner or richer??
the owners or manufact.feel free to respond.

greetings Mathieu

Hi Mathieu,
Short of ordering a jet kit such will depend on your existing settings.
(ie how close to optimum you are @ present regarding A/F ratio)

Kind Regards,
Dale

dale,

what do you take for A/F ratio on low-mid top rpm"s??

greetings Madero

given your standard jetting is quite good you'll be fine. any coughs or glitches-report here!

we'll soon put you right!

Hi Mathieu,
Truthfully speaking "whatever provides for the most power".
For performance I do not tune for a particular (instrument indicated) A/F ratio as it is irrelevant.

Example regarding why:
Often long duration camshafts with a tuned exhaust over scavenge leading one whom is tuning via an O2 sensor to believe the mixture is lean when in fact it is not.

Sincerely,
Dale

Hi Dale
I to have your x2 cam in my 04 450 and I have a rich stumble at low rpm low throttle setting. My jetting was fine with the stock cam.
175 main
ELQ middle clip
42 pilot
all other jets stock.

Thanks Fred

my jetting is available on the owners doc. follow it precisely and you'll have no problems at all. you have a rich condition which can be alleviated by taking 10 off the MJ and then if still persists-which i think it will-drop the needle one clip.

you'll then need to set it sweetly on the PS. i trust this didn't help in this case BTW? correct?

You talk about reducing the accelerator pump to .75 in the owner doc. how do you do this. How is it that your jetting is so different than Lineaweavers. Just curious!

Fred

my jetting is the same as lineweavers DT400. those figures ara available somewhere too! he put all his DT figures up for the 400-450-500-600 a year or so back. i was running a a 152MJ and mentioned that i felt i was ready to go lower.

APJ mod.

the later carb is called the BK mod and on the early carb it's called the Taff mod. the early carb has a vertically pumping rod on the RHS that can be seen under a gaitor.

to do the mod, first tell me which carb. the BK mod carefully explained on TT under motoman393 and if you type in Taff mod it may come up somewhere. sorry but i'm going to be off air for 5 days now but good luck.

regards

Taffy
