On my 97 FX600 the spings are too soft and it rides too low down in the stroke. Stiffer springs and a revalve should have it riding higher in the stroke and add some comfort.

The guts racing seat is pretty nice, I use my 98 FE 600 for dual sport and wanted a little more padding for the butt cheeks. I ordered a soft, tall foam from guts racing. Very well done and the seat colors match up nicely. My biggest headache right now is that the tall foam forces you to sit higher on the bike and seems to force my upper body into an almost falling forward feel gripping the bars. Bar risers could solve this but with my short inseam I am almost on my tippy toes when standing still. I might try to trim the seat foam this winter and order an alaska butt pad for my type of riding. I have one for my BMW and it really seems to keep you in the saddle longer.
