Accessories for the Hussy

If you haven't looked at Highwat Dirt Bike's site, it's worth a visit. If you are like me and have added extra electrical bits and mounted toggle switches here and there and wherever you could fit them, these guys make an amazing Top Clamp setup that integrates four switches, a toggle switch mount and a power port that just replaces your top handlebar clamps. I ordered the exact unit I just described and with all switches, LED indicator lights, anodized, and with shipping, it was $100. To me, well worth the price to clean things up a bit.

I have a little problem report I'd like to let you guys know about in regard to ordering the HDB Top Clamp. First, it isan excellent piece. The transaction left a little to be desired though. I received a Pay Pal message and incvoice from Derrick at HDB when I ordered this. It wasn't itemized, so I ended up calling HDB. they can't take phone orders, so the Pay Pal route is all they accept. That wasn't a problem. The problem is that I wanted to be sure and order all of the electrical hardware at the same time and with the piece. The four lowere switches and LED lights were available as was stated the power port to. I asked for a three position toggle switch, and was told they were out of stock. So I repeatedly asked if everything else would ship with the Top Clamp. I was assured it would, and so I paid and two days later the package arrived (speedy shipping). Well, there was no power port included. I called Derrick, he assured me they stock power ports but that wasn't included on my invoice (the one I couldn't read). Anyway, I'm a little disappointed with that, but the overall build quility is very nice, just be sure to get a detailed invoice before making payment. The rest of the transaction was great.

I wanted to let anyone reading this know that Paul (The owner of HDB) contacted me in regard to this post. Evidently Derek is new and he wanted to get to the bottom of what had happened. I think he has things sorted out on his end, from his concerned response, i believe this was an exception to what he would have their customer service be. That said, like I stated earlier, their stuff is really very nice. I'll probably buy more from theem in the future. So if you like wwhat you see on their site, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from HDB again.
