abrupt throttle

Finally taking my berg off roading this weekend, but one thing that bugs me is the throttle opening, too much instant power, is there any way to tame this, ie remap, but less expensive. maybe change exhaust? able to adjust fuel injectors?
thanks

it's a 70-deg? they're not know for being abrupt ... hmm! tastes vary but maybe there's a small glitch somewhere in yours?

is it an FE?

just to throw things out there, my DRZ became abrupt when the exhaust packing was gone. the cavity in the muffler caused turbulence so the bike only really came on after it had picked up a few hundred RPM, quite disconcerting

doesn't sound exactly like what you're describing though

cook up an ignition map switch or selector to go to the mild ignition map? it would at minimum only involve finding the resistor value for 'mild' and the right pins / plug and bodging it on there to try :) the info and values are published and can be found without too much difficulty

G2 is a good choice, and they will work with you to get the correct product - they are a small company run by the designer of the throttle. Motion Pro makes a throttle with changeable cams to help you get the right power characteristics - they are owned by a former ISDE rider.
