a little bull never did any harm!

Please explain??? Is the bike dodgy? Is the seller dodgy? Is it too expensive for your part of the world? That bike in Oz would probably be worth the equivalent of £2,500 to £3,000.

Maybe us aussies are a bit slooooow bundybear????? :D

i can't see much exept it isn't a 2004 model........

Have Fun
Jeff

Apologies for not knowing the models by sight. My bike came from the last millennium!

It is a bit hard to completely cane the seller for not knowing the year model. It probably does say 2004 on whatever is the UK equivalent of our compliance plate. A buyer looking at the bike in person could make the same mistake.

It makes it hard when models are not released at the start of each calendar year, but they are referred to by a year number. I'm still not 100% sure whether mine is a '98 or a '97. The '98 photos look the same as mine.

I was just curious what the problem was with the listing - it obviously burred Taff up. I bought some jetski parts off ebay & the seller just disappeared after receiving payment. Same thing happened to several others buying stuff from that seller at the same time.

If anyone is buying stuff through eBay I'd recommend insisting on payment through PayPal. At least with it you have some coverage over losing your money.

yes it's an '03 being sold as an '04. if you note in the spec box it says registered;'04
model year; '04

Taffy

I've seen quite a few mislabled bergs
on ebay and on Cycletrader.com.I
wonder if it is a dealer or factory
goofup.

I am wondering, on the cylinder there is a stamp that shows the displacemnt and what looks like a year like on my (sold ) 02 470 the stamp was 4702003 is this the case? an other wier dthing was that the cirtificate of orgin states a manufacture of 2001.

as far as the berg on ebay. if someone was really wanting to buy an 04 because of the updated ignition and such the buyer would be VERY pissed off when they found out it had the old SEM.....
