It is a bit hard to completely cane the seller for not knowing the year model. It probably does say 2004 on whatever is the UK equivalent of our compliance plate. A buyer looking at the bike in person could make the same mistake.
It makes it hard when models are not released at the start of each calendar year, but they are referred to by a year number. I'm still not 100% sure whether mine is a '98 or a '97. The '98 photos look the same as mine.
I was just curious what the problem was with the listing - it obviously burred Taff up. I bought some jetski parts off ebay & the seller just disappeared after receiving payment. Same thing happened to several others buying stuff from that seller at the same time.
If anyone is buying stuff through eBay I'd recommend insisting on payment through PayPal. At least with it you have some coverage over losing your money.
